<p>Lenette: How do you see this book (<a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.longevitynow.co.uk/goto/Superfoods_The_Food_and_Medicine_of_the_Future/113/1" title="david wolfe's booked discussed">Superfoods: The Food and Medicine of the Future</a>) impacting the planet, the countries that it&#8217;s going to be first available to?</p>
<p> <img align="left" alt="david wolfe on how to get started on superfoods, longevity now, david wolfe" height="130" hspace="10" src="http://images.barnesandnoble.com/images/37820000/37821531.JPG" vspace="10" width="116" />David: I think it&#8217;s going to have a huge impact for Elements of Life, personally. Everybody is on the same page, in my opinion, especially in the western world, North America, Canada, the U.S. about where the future of nutrition is. What everyone is arriving at is that people want more of their nutrition from food, meaning their vitamins and minerals and protein, antioxidants, etc. They want it easier. They want it to be as easy as possible. Superfoods answer that question. It solves that completely. As soon as people get clicked on to it, they realize, &quot;Whoa. This solves a bunch of problems,&quot; then it&#8217;s like an avalanche. That&#8217;s what I&#8217;ve been working on with Random House, who&#8217;s going to be helping me distribute this book; developing a strategy where we can kind of go out there and inform people like, &quot;Hey, this is solving a big problem for everybody.&quot; If you don&#8217;t have to depend on vitamin and mineral supplements and be worried about getting enough in our food, you eat superfoods and that&#8217;s covered completely. You don&#8217;t have to worry about it anymore. And it really is. That&#8217;s really the truth.</p>
<p>Lenette: Back to the superfoods, how do you suggest people new to superfoods get started?</p>
<p>David: I think it&#8217;s best to use a form of food that we&#8217;ve all been aware of, which is the superfoods smoothie, or the super protein shake or the Slim-Fast &#8216;throw it in a blender&#8217; kind of idea. That&#8217;s the easiest way I&#8217;ve found for most people to tap into this. We&#8217;ve all had some experience with that. All we did is we just took the junk protein, the whey protein, egg white protein, whatever that was, just get rid of that and throw superfoods in instead. We have a blender, we have some spring water, we have our favorite fruits, let&#8217;s say right now it&#8217;s berries, frozen blueberries or whatever kind of fruit you like. You throw in your superfoods in there. I&#8217;m a beekeeper so I have honey at my house, and we throw in honey. You blend that up and you go running out the door and it&#8217;s like it&#8217;s a whole new reality. Actually what that does to people, doing a superfoods smoothie every morning instead of their traditional protein shake, it changes their whole reality around. Suddenly all their neurotransmitters start firing properly. They&#8217;re actually getting real protein for the first time in their life. They&#8217;re getting tryptophan for the first time in their life. They&#8217;re actually getting a good quality and spectrum of real minerals that are 100% bioavailable. That&#8217;s never happened in our lives. We grew up on like Froot Loops so when we actually get real nutrition, especially when it&#8217;s liquified like that, it has the fastest effect on people&#8217;s health of anything I&#8217;ve ever seen. That&#8217;s why I&#8217;m such a fan of superfoods. That&#8217;s why I&#8217;m putting my whole thing behind that. I&#8217;ve seen that it works in sorting out people&#8217;s neurochemistry better than anything else.</p>
<p>Lenette: Some people say, &quot;How do I know what&#8217;s going to work for me if I start taking a bunch of these things at once?&quot; But you&#8217;re saying, &quot;Just go for the gold. Just try it all out.&quot; [David laughing] Put it in a smoothie and you&#8217;ll feel better.</p>
<p>David: I remember one time I was hanging around with Shazzy. She&#8217;s very popular in the U.K. as a superfoodist; she and I wrote &quot;<a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.longevitynow.co.uk/goto/Naked_Chocolate/113/2" title="david's books on nutrition">Naked Chocolate</a>&quot; together. I remember we were having this hilarious moment together where we made up this superfood smoothie, and this was like six years ago. That was a long time ago, before it was like&#8230;I was kind of in my own reality with it, but I didn&#8217;t realize that people weren&#8217;t using this stuff. I made up this superfood smoothie; it must have had 50 ingredients in it. [both laughing] I&#8217;m tapping my foot, I&#8217;m drinking this drink, and I said, &quot;Could you imagine if we just fed this to somebody on the street? It would probably knock them right out.&quot; And BOOM, there was Shazzy knocked right out on her back.</p>
<p>Lenette: No way.</p>
<p>David: She literally drank half a cup of it and had to lay down. It just laid her right down. The reason why, it was just too much. I just kind of threw her right into the middle of the Super Bowl and it was too much. You&#8217;ve got to start out simple. Take Spirulina. Try that.</p>
<p>Lenette: Was that like a detox reaction she was having? Or just overstimulation from all these minerals and things?</p>
<p>David: It was probably both because when you put that level of nutrition&#8230;it was like herbs&#8230;I remember putting Cat&#8217;s Claw powder in there and Camu Camu berry. I&#8217;m not kidding, there were probably 50 ingredients in there. When you get to that level of concentration, you have to work up to it, just like anything else. You don&#8217;t just suddenly switch from Cheetos and Burger King over to 50 different things in a superfood smoothie. Even as a raw foodist, you go slowly. Everything&#8217;s very slow. It&#8217;s better that way. You try an experiment. You try bee pollen. You try Goji berries. You just eat it or you throw one ingredient in your drink and gradually you complexify it as you build that muscle. Basically what we&#8217;re doing is we&#8217;re building up a different muscle, a new digestive muscle. Most of our lives we spend a huge amount of digestive energy digesting nothing. There&#8217;s nothing in there. Now we can flip the equation around where we spend hardly any amount of digestive energy and we get a huge amount of nutrients. We&#8217;ve got to adapt to that. It doesn&#8217;t just happen overnight. You readapt your body to new, higher quality, higher octave types of foods and your body will take its little time. Over a few months it will gradually come along for the ride and that&#8217;s more reasonable. This step-by-step approach is much healthier.</p>
<p>Lenette: Can any of the superfoods in the upcoming book cause a detox reaction when you first start using them? And how important are superfoods in a detox program?</p>
<p>David: That&#8217;s a very good question. Generally the way I answer that question is to say, &quot;What is a detoxification?&quot; A detoxification occurs when the energy content of what&#8217;s coming into the body is at a higher level than where the body&#8217;s natural homeostasis is, or residual homeostasis. When you start taking superfoods that are high energy into a body that was eating, say, Burger King, there&#8217;s an energetic and vibrational discrepancy. Eventually what happens is one of those higher frequencies is going to entrain the lower frequency vibrations. It&#8217;s going to bring the lower energy up and drive it out. And that is going to occur in a lot of people just from eating any of the superfoods because the power of these foods is so high. If you&#8217;re a little bit more sophisticated with your approach and you&#8217;ve done cleansing and juice fasting and done herbal cleansing and that kind of thing, then you start targeting specific superfoods, like Chlorella, that get heavy metals out. Then you can start looking at Camu Camu berry for its medicinal content and medicinal capability of breaking down neurological blockages. For example, cataracts in the eye, glaucoma, foggy thinking, that kind of stuff. Then you could start to dial in a little bit deeper. Bee pollen, for example is a tremendous&#8230;it drives out all the gunk in our nervous system due to the acetylcholine that&#8217;s present in bee pollen and in royal jelly. What does that do? We&#8217;ve all had genetically modified soy lecithin that somehow snuck itself into our body and that just gums up our brain. You need acetylcholine from bee pollen and royal jelly to help drive that out. It&#8217;s called chelation replacement. Kelp is another one. Kelp can detoxify the thyroid. That&#8217;s another great superfood, one of the superfoods of the sea.</p>
<p>Lenette: Where are you telling people is the best place to get these superfoods? There are low quality superfoods out there and there are the best ever superfoods out there. How did you address that in the book?</p>
<p>David: What I did was, I went through, and there was a whole section on each superfood about what to look for. It&#8217;s really good. It&#8217;s designed for anybody to suddenly have the skill to say, &quot;Here&#8217;s what I&#8217;m looking for. I&#8217;ve got to make sure I have cacao nibs that don&#8217;t have little white splotches on them. If I buy cacao with the skin on, it shouldn&#8217;t have any black mold on the outside.&quot; Just little things like that. With each superfood, you become an expert on what to buy and how to determine what&#8217;s high quality and what&#8217;s low quality.</p>
<p>Lenette: That&#8217;s great, I&#8217;m really glad you put that in there. I&#8217;m curious to read that myself.</p>

<p> <img align="left" alt="superfoods: the food and medicine of the future" height="180" hspace="10" src="http://www.gorawhavefun.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/superfoodsbook-300x300.jpg" vspace="10" width="180" />Lenette: So, what was your biggest discovery in the research of your newest book, &quot;<a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.longevitynow.co.uk/goto/Superfoods_The_Food_and_Medicine_of_the_Future/111/2" title="david wolfe book reviewed">Superfoods: The Food and Medicine of the Future</a>&quot;?</p>
<p>David: I think it has to do with phycocyanin, the blue pigment that&#8217;s in Spirulina and blue-green algae. The research that I stumbled across when I was researching that part of the book was completely mind-bending. Basically what the blue pigment does is ramp up all your stem cell production, so if you take something like blue-green algae or an extract of it like these phycocyanin products that are out there right now, even a few that are made out of Spirulina, and then you take something that&#8217;s really strong in building your immune system, like medicinal mushrooms, and you do that as a one-two punch, it&#8217;s really powerful how quickly you can ramp up your immune response. I think that was one of the things that I kind of stumbled across and then I was just playing with it, and it just became an awesome adjunct to what I am doing. It&#8217;s just amazing.</p>
<p>Lenette: Wow. So you&#8217;re combining the two now? When you&#8217;re taking one, you&#8217;re taking the other?</p>
<p>David:Right. Exactly. And the reason why is because phycocyanin, the blue pigments of algae, is the original pigment that was on the Earth a billion years ago or however many billion years ago algae were dominating the Earth. The Sun was actually putting out most of its energy in the blue spectrum instead of the green, and therefore the plants were blue. Algae was blue. There are still residues of those blue pigments. If you look into nature and you look closely, you&#8217;ll see it. When you take in those blue pigments, instead of having that effect of rebuilding your blood like chlorophyll does, this has an effect of rebuilding your stem cells or rejuvenating you. If you couple that with something like medicinal mushrooms, like Reishi mushroom and its ability to rebuild your immune system, you have this ejection of stem cell colonies out of the bone marrow, and those get turned into immune system weapon cells like N-K cells, T-fighter cells, macrophages. All those things can be formed out of the stem cells and it can cause a huge jump in your immunity. It&#8217;s really powerful.</p>
<p>Sounds like a little [science] discovery, right? I&#8217;m so into superfoods. It&#8217;s my genre, but I take for granted some of the simpler things like the power of marine phytoplankton and just what that is alone is totally ridiculous. We went off on a little tangent, but I could go off on a lot of things that came up from this book.</p>
<p>Lenette: Awesome. What chapter are you most proud of in the book?</p>
<p>David:Oh, that&#8217;s a good question. I&#8217;ll tell you what I really liked finding. I liked finding, in the Marine Phytoplankton chapter, there&#8217;s a whole section on how marine phytoplankton form sulfur, and then the sulfur gets evaporated up into the atmosphere and forms clouds. That&#8217;s how the marine phytoplankton protects itself in the summertime from being over-oxidized. That little section of that chapter was really, really interesting. Let me give you another analogy to that. As spring comes in, the trees will put leaves on to block the sun so that it doesn&#8217;t overheat the ground, it doesn&#8217;t burn the tree or the bark up. The way that algae does it in the ocean, or phytoplankton or microalgae, is it will actually release sulfur, secrete sulfur, into the ocean water and then that goes up and forms clouds that protect the algae in the middle of the summer to protect the algae from being hit by too much radiation. It&#8217;s a very interesting cycle, and that was all figured out in the last 50 years. It&#8217;s a closed cycle, meaning the stronger the radiation, the more sulfur the microalgae will release and the more that will protect the oceans from excessive sunlight or radiation. That is the basis of our entire weather system on the whole planet.</p>
<p>Lenette: Wow. In hearing the benefits and properties in marine phytoplankton, I have never heard sulphur. But it actually does have sulfur in it? So it&#8217;s good for hair, skin and nails?</p>
<p>David:Yes. Just like Spirulina and blue-green algae to a significant degree as well are really rich in sulphur. So is hemp seed. There&#8217;s another little trick in there. If you take something like MSM and you mix it with marine phytoplankton, there&#8217;s a very interesting synergy there. MSM, or sulfur, comes into existence in algae as a substance called DMS. It&#8217;s oxidized into a substance called DMSO and then evaporates off into the clouds.</p>
<p>Lenette: What is your longer definition of &quot;superfoods&quot; now and how has it really evolved for you in the past decade?</p>
<p>David:One of the things about superfoods is that they are plant-based so that they are controllable in terms of contamination. Animal foods; we don&#8217;t know what kind of water those animals are drinking. We have no idea what kind of conditions they&#8217;re in. I knock out things like salmon, or things that are thrown into the category of superfoods as superficial. We go to something that&#8217;s a plant. We go to something that is both a food and a medicine, so it has medicinal/herbal components. It also has food/caloric component. We also go to food that has 20 different tricks under its sleeve, not just two or three like a regular raw food would have. A good example of that is the Goji berry. Goji berry has its medicinal side which is like polysaccharide content of its sugars. Anywhere from 35-50% of the total sugar of the Goji berry is actually a very long-chain sugar that has very powerful immune system qualities. The other side of the Goji berry is it&#8217;s nutritive. It&#8217;s a complete protein source so it&#8217;s actually like fuel and it has good calorie value. If we go deeper, we find it&#8217;s a secretagogue. It helps to release Human Growth Hormone; it&#8217;s the only food to ever be shown to do that. It&#8217;s one of the highest antioxidant foods in the world. It contains substances which flip around the aging process, that help us produce more hormones, not just human growth hormones, but all hormones. It just goes on like that. We could continue to look at that. Spinach doesn&#8217;t have all that. Spinach is just like one thing, or broccoli. People say, &quot;How come you don&#8217;t talk about broccoli?&quot; and it&#8217;s like, &quot;Where were you those 10 years I was talking about broccoli?&quot;</p>
<p>Lenette: What are a few of the superfoods covered in your book that might be new even to people who already incorporate superfoods into their lifestyle?</p>
<p>David: Why don&#8217;t I just give a general list of them all? Some people are new to the information. Goji berry, <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.longevitynow.co.uk/goto/Cacao_raw_chocolate/111/3" title="about naked chocolate">Cacao-raw chocolate</a>, maca, blue-green algae, Spirulina, marine phytoplankton, Chlorella, bee pollen, honey, propylis, royal jelly, yacon root products, Noni, Aloe vera, kelp, hemp seed, Acai, camu camu berry. That&#8217;s about it. A good rundown of some of the superfoods in that book that are covered pretty in-depth.</p>
<p>Lenette: There&#8217;s nothing in it coming from left field or right field. Those all seem pretty familiar to me. I know you&#8217;ve talked about a lot of those.</p>
<p>David: If you&#8217;re into live food and you&#8217;ve been paying attention to what&#8217;s going on, then it will fit right in to what you&#8217;ve been hearing about. There&#8217;s nothing completely out of left field in there.</p>
<p>Lenette: It seems like so many of these superfoods work synergistically with each other. Is there a way that you have laid it out, or is there an easy way for us to remember what to take with what else?</p>
<p>David: I kind of represent the antithesis of the food-combining theory. What I actually recommend is that you play around with the stuff with total fun and joy in your heart. Just play around with it the way you played around with food when you were a kid. Then you find out that you could just throw all this stuff into a smoothie into certain combinations that are right for you. For example, I&#8217;ll do Spirulina in the summer or if I&#8217;m in the tropics, but I don&#8217;t really do Spirulina when I&#8217;m in the temperate climates of the world. It&#8217;s more of a tropical algae. Blue-green algae, however, or marine phytoplankton are cold weather types of plants or superfoods. I would do those more in the northern climates. When you&#8217;re mixing together, I think some review of the climate of where you are, your altitude, the overall time of the season, plays a little bit of a factor in what you should mix together. Other than that, it&#8217;s kind of a free-for-all.</p>
<p>Lenette: Okay. Which chapter gave you the most trouble in gathering the research numbers for?</p>
<p>David:That&#8217;s a good question. Let me think about that. Probably Aloe vera. Surprisingly Aloe vera had some of the least amount of material out there that I was able to get access to. That really surprised me because with the popularity of Aloe out there and all the different uses that there are for this amazing superfood and how little information and how few books have been written about Aloe vera, that was shocking.</p>
<p>Lenette: It seems like it&#8217;s hard to get really solid numbers for raw foods and superfoods, even recommended daily allowance, whatever that even means. I remember hearing you at one of your lectures talk about you went and got your Goji berries tested by three different people trying to get the vitamin A percentage and they each came back with completely different numbers. And you were kind of over it.</p>
<p>David:And even Vitamin C. There is no Vitamin C in a dried Goji berry. Robert Young, of Young&#8217;s Living Essential Oils, had put out these statements that the Goji berry had all this Vitamin C in it and this and that. Then you come to find out later that actually that&#8217;s not true at all. So there is a lot of misinformation like that out there all over the internet. I feel like with this book &quot;Superfoods&quot; that I&#8217;ve kind of distilled and gotten rid of all those myths. Like it just makes it real clear what each food does, what&#8217;s in it, and it&#8217;s very well scientifically backed. In the back of the book there are all these scientific charts, for example what&#8217;s in a Goji berry, what&#8217;s the protein, what&#8217;s the breakdown of the carotenes, what&#8217;s the content of the antioxidants, all that stuff for every superfood.</p>

<p>Turn Off Your Stove</p>
<p>Humans suffer from a myriad of health problems, the frequency of which increases as we age.  We tend to say, &quot;It&#8217;s just a part of getting older,&quot; and medicate the symptoms.  However, it is now becoming increasingly evident that the key to our health lies in what we are eating and that the path to better health and longer life lies in eating living foods.</p>
<p>You may have heard the terms &quot;live food&quot;, &quot;living food&quot;, or &quot;raw food&quot;.  The question is, do you know what they mean?  Eating all raw food is exactly as it sounds &#8211; it is eating food that has not been heated or altered in any way.  This way of eating is not a diet, not a temporary means of accomplishing a specific goal such as weight loss.  This way of eating is a lifestyle and it is a lifestyle that is gaining momentum and scientific support all over the world.</p>
<p> Why living foods?  Think about it this way.  Why do we eat?  If you answered to feed your body, you are right.  We eat to nourish the cells in our bodies so that they can perform the functions needed to keep our bodies alive.  These cells are living things and we need to feed living things with living food.  However, when we cook food, we kill it.  The heating process of cooking chemically alters the food and destroys the enzymes needed by our bodies to aid in the digestion of the food.  How can our cells live off of this?</p>
<p> When the enzymes in our food are destroyed, our bodies must compensate by using its own enzymes to help in the digestion process, taking up energy and vital resources that are needed elsewhere.  The concentration of enzymes in an elderly person&#8217;s body is approximately 30% less than that of a young adult.  This means, we are depleting our resources.  The body has a more difficult time handling the cooked food and the digestion process slows down.  What should ideally take 4 hours, can take up to 4 days.  When our bodies are working so hard to constantly process and rid itself of the cooked food, it has fewer resources and less energy to focus on ridding the body of other foreign material such as the viruses and bacteria that make us sick.</p>
<p> When we cook food we also kill the vitamins and alter the minerals that our bodies need to function properly.  While it is easy to think that you might feel hungry eating only living food, once you begin the cleansing process within your body, it will be better able to absorb the readily available nutrients from the raw food.  Also, because living food is so nutritionally dense, we need to eat far less of it to get the same nutritional value that we get from cooked food.  Eating living foods leaves a person feeling more satisfied and far more energetic.</p>
<p> No other animal on earth cooks its food.  This is really a profound concept.  There is no other animal, no other creature on earth that is as ill, out of shape, and overweight as humans are.  Even the ones who live in the city environment, breathes the same polluted air as we do, and suffers the stresses created by humans do not suffer ill health the way humans do.  Humans tend to want to improve upon nature, but nature was doing a fine job long before humans entered the scene.  When eating all living foods, it is like saying, &quot;I trust that nature has provided what my body needs in its entirety.&quot;  In other words, nature knows what it is doing.</p>
<p> What about cravings?  Many people believe we have cravings because there is something in the food our bodies are lacking.  While this is true some of the time, much of our cravings for cooked foods comes from the fact that cooked foods are an addiction.  Many people are physically and psychologically addicted to it and, as with any other addiction, it is hard to quit.  There are many resources available that can help you get through the cravings and withdrawal from cooked food.  A primary resource is Victoria Boutenko&#8217;s 12 Steps to Raw Foods.  And if you think you&#8217;ll have to give up chocolate when eating living foods, you will be pleasantly surprised.  Raw chocolate is not only delicious, it&#8217;s healthy too.</p>
<p> There is mounting evidence to suggest that eating raw food diet, which will detoxify and purify the system, can eradicate many diseases, cure obesity, slow the aging process, and extend the lifespan of humans.  Two wonderful resources on the living food diet are David Wolfe&#8217;s books The Sunfood Diet Success System and Eating for Beauty.  You may be sitting there saying, &quot;But I have eaten cooked food all of my life and I&#8217;m perfectly healthy.&quot;  The question you need to ask yourself is, &quot;What am I comparing my level of health to?&quot;  After all, nearly everyone around you eats cooked food too and just because something is the norm, that doesn&#8217;t mean it is healthy.</p>

<p>    David Wolfe On Future Plans, Sungazing, And Elements For Life</p>
<p>Lenette: So what does the rest of 2009 hold for <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.longevitynow.co.uk/goto/David_Wolfe/76/3" title="David Wolfe is also known as David &quot;Avocado&quot;">David Wolfe</a>, personally or professionally?</p>
<p> David: Oh, it&#8217;s going to be a big year. It&#8217;s going to be a big year. I start out in South Florida on April 6th and I&#8217;m going to be on the road&#8230;this is after I come back from Peru, so the whole month of March I&#8217;ll be in Peru. April 6th I&#8217;ll be in South Florida and I&#8217;ll come up the entire East Coast of the United States, fly over to Los Angeles, go up the entire West Coast of the United States, come back down again and do a couple of jaunts around&#8230;I might even make it to Salt Lake City and possibly even Chicago by the summer?</p>
<p> Lenette: Possibly?</p>
<p> David: Yeah, I know. I&#8217;d like to get there sooner but it&#8217;s just a busy schedule. But we&#8217;re looking at, already, 100 events booked for the whole year, but it could potentially go to like 150 or even 200 events this year. It&#8217;s possible.</p>
<p> Lenette: And these events are all in the name of the book, like a book tour or what else are these events going to be about?</p>
<p> David: They&#8217;re pretty much about everything. It&#8217;s about &quot;Save your town now!&quot; [laughing] When we used to drive around in our bus, we would have these conversations at the end of the event and it was like, &quot;What are we doing here?&quot; We&#8217;re in this little town, wherever it was, some place in Kansas and basically we&#8217;re having a town hall meeting on how to save yourself and save your town. That&#8217;s the fundamental message. That&#8217;s pretty much what we&#8217;re talking about. What is the technology that&#8217;s out there that you can access immediately to save yourself and save your town? Superfoods and raw foods is one of the easiest buttons to push to get there.</p>
<p> Lenette: What percentage of your diet is comprised of superfoods now?</p>
<p> David: It&#8217;s probably 75%.</p>
<p> Lenette: Is there a ceiling limit that you would recommend for people?</p>
<p> David: That would be completely absurd for me to try to even guess. I don&#8217;t know. This is what I believe that everyone should explore. That is, raw foods, all of them, fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, seaweed, sprouts, grasses, herbs and superfoods and, of course, fermented foods&#8230;explore all of that in-depth. Do the 60-day juice fast. Do the water fast. Do the things you need to do including eating copious amounts of vegetables on these giant salads. And you&#8217;re going, &quot;How come I&#8217;m not full? I&#8217;m eating massive amounts of vegetables and all this food but I&#8217;m still not full.&quot; Go through all of that process and start to refine your diet down by volume by increasing the amount of superfoods that are in your diet from, say, one superfood smoothie a day to two and then eventually to three. When I first did that I actually did the three-month liquid blended fast on just cacao drinks and that was totally, totally amazing. That was years ago. I had already been a raw foodist for ten years at that point maybe.</p>
<p> Lenette: That&#8217;s awesome. It just puts some new ideas in my head. I always like trying out new things with the diet.</p>
<p> Lenette: Thank you so much, David. This has been awesome. Is there anything else you want to share with us?</p>
<p> David: I just hope that everybody out there is having the best day ever. I wanted to share a little bit about sungazing because this has been in the field now for quite some time, probably eight to ten years in the raw food world. I&#8217;ve been doing something up here at my house that I haven&#8217;t been able to do. I wasn&#8217;t able to really calibrate it very well. I&#8217;ve been sungazing outside on the snow barefoot and I have been calibrating what that&#8217;s all about and what the effectiveness of it is. It&#8217;s pretty darn powerful, I have to say. Sungazing barefoot on the snow at the end of the day. It&#8217;s something to do with this idea that if you&#8217;re out on wet grass and you&#8217;re sungazing, the energy that comes in through your eyes is pulled right through you through the wet of the grass and it goes right back into the Earth. I always wanted to sungaze on a dry surface like stone, and when I sungaze on snow, once I melt into the snow and I&#8217;m totally solid on my feet, then there&#8217;s a similar effect to being on stone. That&#8217;s something I&#8217;ve been playing around with and it&#8217;s really been interesting. I&#8217;ve been trying to calibrate what the limits of sungazing are and apparently in any condition, even in the snow, it&#8217;s totally perfect.</p>
<p> Lenette: Yeah, I gotta find a way [to do this in Chicago]. Maybe I could get on my roof. I just want to say I&#8217;m really grateful to be on the same team that you&#8217;re on and all the joys. I usually like telling people I&#8217;m working on a national project with David Wolfe and that seems like the most fun way to say it. I don&#8217;t think I would have gotten this opportunity if it hadn&#8217;t been for being in Elements for Life. I can&#8217;t say that if this opportunity is calling you that you will get a chance to talk to David Wolfe one-on-one but if you work this business hard and hold it in your vision to hang out with David Wolfe and hang out with all the Elements for Life leaders and go to retreats with us, that could happen. That possibility is there. David, I remember you saying so many people have asked you, &quot;How can I work for you? How can I work with you?&quot; and you&#8217;ve had to turn everyone down saying, &quot;There&#8217;s only so many people I can hire, guys!&quot; and this is the only channel now for anybody to work alongside you and to meet you.</p>
<p> David: It&#8217;s such a gift. You know, I&#8217;ve been involved in Elements for Life for five or six years. It&#8217;s been a long time. Finally, it&#8217;s got a whole thing going. It&#8217;s got a lot of traction, a lot of momentum and it solves that issue at every event that I do where there are people in the audience where they go, &quot;This whole angle of nutrition makes sense to me. This is what I want to do for my career. I want to turn all my people onto it.&quot; Elements for Life is that opportunity that delivers those people to what their goal is. It&#8217;s totally amazing to have that in the cornucopia of what is being offered every night at an event. A lot of times five or more people come to me and say, &quot;How do I get these things to my massage therapist friends? How do I get this to my chiropractor friends?
